COVID PROTOCOLS

It has been over two years since COVID-19 changed our lives. We here at triangle like every business we know has tried to adapt with every twist and turn. We are proud of our track record of ensuring that everyone is treated with respect and remains healthy while you are within our walls. Patron and staff safety are No. 1 here at triangle productions!

With the ever-changing tide of ‘should we – should we not’, we still believe in always using best practices.

Many have inquired on what triangle’s COVID protocols are. And, after attending a show, many of you have thanked us for our diligence on how we handle patrons and staff here.

For the musical coming up, The Nancy Boggs Story: Sex on the River we’re implementing the following protocols.

1)      First, think of our theatre if you will, as an airplane. It’s an intimate space and it seats 154 people. Ask that for a bit longer to wear masks. You will see staff wearing masks and all volunteers as well.

2)      We will continue to ask for your vaccination card. Why? This is one more ‘protection’ device for us. Knowing you have taken precautions helps us ensure the safety of all. Your vaccination card can either be in hard copy form or on your phone. We will not seat you without it!

3)      We will continue to have reduced time in the lobby. DOORS will remain LOCKED until 30 minutes before the performance. Thursday/Friday/Saturday performances: Front and back doors will remain closed until 7:00 pm Sunday matinee, until 1:30 pm.

4)      You will no more be required to have a temperature check! Your mask and your vaccination card should be good enough

5)      We are opening up seating. With you wearing a mask, limited time in the space, all doors to the venue open for airflow and you have been vaccinated we feel that as many precautions have been taken and therefore, we will reopen our seating up – not to capacity – but to near capacity.

6)      We have found that many are agreeable to not printing tickets. So, for now, we will ask you not to print your tickets and that you check in with our box office person in the lobby, then you’ll be directed to your seat.

7)      We will stop baggies with your name on your seat.

8)      We will continue for now to not have printed programs. Trying to keep you safe with less handling of paper AND saving a tree or two is the best practice right?  or we will provide a QR Code and a Wi-Fi connection.

9)      Concessions will be available 30 minutes before the show – you can take the concessions into the theatre.

10)   RESTROOMS: Will only be open for 30 minutes. They will NOT be open

THE STORY: Mr. Madam is based upon a true story, taken from several books by Kenneth aka Kate Marlowe. This one-person show is set in his study one evening where we find Kenneth mad that the world has forgotten who he was. Kenneth has been described as one of the gayest and most openly homosexual personalities of the late 50s and early 60s. He went from a 1940's/1950's drag performer to being a madam (for Hollywood gays), to being the author of several books and at the age of 50 began transitioning, and soon after marries a man in prison. You just cannot make this stuff up!

In July 2010 Armistead Maupin commented: "I met Kenneth Marlow in 1972 when he was in the process of becoming Kate Marlowe. He threw a fundraising Big Band dance at which Sally Rand (then 70) performed her famous Fan Dance under a VERY DIM blue bulb. He called the evening "The Ball to End All Balls." When I interviewed her later (Kate) she told me she'd grown up in a whorehouse in Winnemucca, Nevada. I'm not at all sure if that was true but it was a fascinating detail, so I appropriated it for Anna Madrigal in Tales of the City.

NOTICE: NO ONE ADMITTED UNDER THE AGE OF 16.
